Two bodies, one safe descent
A safe landing for the penguin may still be a disaster for the egg. That mismatch makes every block worth considering before you remove it. Digging creates a route while destroying a support, and pushing the egg commits you to whatever is below. The pleasure comes from spotting a sequence that lets both travellers reach the next ledge safely.
Use the map scan before starting a descent. Watch the safety line beneath the egg, and avoid removing a block merely because the penguin can reach it. The editor is worth trying even if you only build a small puzzle for someone else to solve.
Build the next problem
The 1987 Mark III game, titled Doki Doki Penguin Land: Uchū Daibōken in Japan, includes a stage editor as well as its supplied puzzles. Designing a room exposes the same relationships that play teaches: the position of one block can decide whether a descent is possible.
Why we chose it for Master System
Protecting the egg turns digging into a planning problem; the editor lets you test your understanding by building one yourself.
