Reading a city in rails
A successful line can carry you from a crowded street to a ledge that seemed ornamental from below. Graffiti targets make you study those connections, while the music gives repeated attempts a pulse. The camera can make an awkward landing harder to diagnose. Once a district becomes familiar, finding a cleaner path through it is more interesting than merely ticking off its remaining marks.
Explore one district without rushing to complete it. Look for rails that continue above or behind the obvious route, then use a known line to reach an unfamiliar height.
A separate Future
Sega’s catalogue dates the Japanese Xbox release to February 2002. Future is a separate game from Dreamcast’s Jet Set Radio, with its own connected areas and movement rhythm; the shared visual language does not make them interchangeable.
Why we chose it for Xbox
Learn a city through the rails and rooftops that join its districts.
