A route through the station
A fixed camera can hide the space just beyond a doorway, making a familiar corridor uneasy again. The movement takes practice because a turn refers to the character’s facing rather than the screen. Once that becomes natural, the stronger decisions concern supplies: which weapon to carry, which item to leave and whether a fight is worth the ammunition. Leon and Claire’s linked scenarios encourage another view of the same crisis.
Practise turning in a safe room and pay attention to the map before carrying every puzzle item at once. The paired scenarios deserve consideration after a first finish. The tension comes partly from making a route work with the supplies already committed to it.
Which Resident Evil 2?
The original PlayStation game belongs to 1998. Its later PC conversion and the 2019 remake are separate releases. Rendered backgrounds let Capcom compose detailed rooms around real-time characters, demonstrating a different use of disc-era hardware from a free camera moving through an entirely polygonal world.
Why we chose it for PlayStation
Fixed views and limited supplies turn the station into a route worth planning.
