Choose the shot before timing it
The shot controls turn distance and accuracy into a timing exercise, but the choice of target still matters. A conservative shot can make the next one easier; an ambitious line can recover a poor hole or compound it. Six golfers offer different strengths, giving repeated rounds another variable to explore. Match play makes each hole a small contest with a clear result.
Choose one golfer while learning the timing. Compare the safer route with the direct route before starting a swing. Against a friend, match play gives a bad hole a natural stopping point so it need not decide the whole session.
Two names on the scorecard
Nazca’s other 1996 Neo Geo game shares Metal Slug’s attention to immediate action while working at a much quieter pace. It is recorded as Neo Turf Masters in SNK’s museum and sold in the ACA catalogue as Big Tournament Golf. The MVS and Japanese home-cartridge releases both belong to 1996.
