A mind becomes a place

A level can be funny before a character speaks: its proportions and hazards reveal what its owner fears or misunderstands. Psychic powers then let Raz participate in that logic. The summer camp provides a useful return to ordinary scale between these excursions. Collecting every small object can dilute the momentum, and the late platforming is less forgiving than the broad comic tone initially suggests.

Double Fine’s first released game arrived in April 2005. It uses mental worlds to change the visual and mechanical premise of a platform level while keeping a continuing cast around the camp.

Return to the camp

Return to campers between major trips and experiment with new powers on familiar objects. Do not let a complete collectible hunt prevent you from seeing the next mind.
